How to use the FTMO Robot to pass challenges:
The 8 FTMO Robots trade on seven different currency pairs and 1 on Gold, but you should not trade all of them together on a challenge!
You must test them all in a trial/demo account and follow the results. The purpose is to find the most profitable among the seven assets in current market conditions.
You can connect your account with MyFxBook or FXBlue and track the performance of all 8. This way, you will always trade the FTMO Robot that performs best in the current market!
Once you start testing the FTMO Robot on all assets you will know which one is Currently profiting the most! Then, trade it on a challenge!
When you know which asset is currently profitable, it gets easy!
Once you’ve tested the 7 Currency Pairs and the Gold EA you can:
– Place only the top Performer on a challenge.
– Keep trading the top 2-3 performers in the challenge.
– if none of the assets are profiting in the current period, simply wait and continue once you see profitable results.

What is the strategy behind the FTMO Robot?
When will the Robot open a long trade?
– When the price moves below the lower band of the Envelopes and moves back inside
– There should also be a confirmation from DeMarker, MACD and RSI.
– Between specified market hours. Usually we avoid opening new trades around midnight when the spreads are at their highest.
In addition, there is spread protection (filters the entries during news events) and an exit condition with Average True Range indicator.

This FTMO System is based on Forward testing and not on backtesting!

With Version 5.0, the FTMO Robot was modified to trade on different currency pairs. You will receive 7 different Robots trading on 7 currency pairs and one Robot for Gold
The choice to trade one of the Robots or a few of them simultaneously is yours. If you trade more than 1 Robot, you should evaluate the risks carefully taking into account the lots and the account size.

Can I use Robots on FTMO?
Yes, FTMO allows algorithmic trading like most of the Prop Firms. As long as the Prop Firm offers MetaTrader with algo trading, you can use the FTMO Robot. With FTMO we use swing accounts so we can keep trading during the news.
Can I use the FTMO Robot on other Prop Firms?
The FTMO Robot has no limitations to platforms. It can be used on any MetaTrader account (even a regular CFD Broker).
I installed FTMO Robot but do not see any trades opening?
The FTMO Robot will open trades when the price meets all trading signals. The EA is not designed to trade frequently but to take strong reversal signals.
If you do not see trades for a few days, check out the journal for any errors. Also, make sure you keep your laptop/PC connected to the internet all the time, and the MetaTrader connected to the FTMO Server. A good solution is to use a VPS (not a must).
What lot size should I use in 100k challange?
