The Orderflows Power Bars is a new tool from Orderflows that reads the order flow in a bar to determine the direction of the market.
What makes the Power Bars unique is its ability to take the information at the bid offer level in a bar, its order flow, combine it with the overall bar price action information and overall order flow, and if required, compare that data to previous bar’s order flow and determine if the bar is bullish or bearish.
There are two ways to use the Power Bars. A trader can highlight every bar that meets the Power Bar requirements, or a trader can filter out the Power Bars that have the follow up order flow that a trader needs to see for trades that have higher success rates by using the Trade Entry.
So, what exactly is a Power Bar? A Power Bar takes a lot of order flow data into consideration.
It is a bar that has strong directional order flow in the bar.
Simply having directional order flow is not enough. It could just be a big order going through the market. It needs conviction.
Then look at that directional order flow and compare it to the overall price action of the bar. Then take that strong directional order flow and compare it to previous directional order flow.
It is a bar that outpaces the value of the market. You want to have a shift in market sentiment occurring in that bar, hence a Power Bar.
